A warrant of Carl Hunter Sr. known as "Low" was issued in 2018 in connection with the deadly stabbing of Evans. He was arrested in the Dominican Republic at 9:18 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2023.

Hunter had been featured on a Crime Stoppers wanted flyer since Sept. 2010 as a person of interest in Evans homicide.

Evans was found suffering a stab wound to the torso in the 400 block of West Lemon Street, Lancaster by city police officers around 11:15 p.m. on Dec. 18, 2009. "Evans was taken to a hospital for treatment but died as a result of his injuries," the police said.

The Lemon Street residence was supposedly a grow house operated by Evans and others, possibly including Hunter, FOX43 reported in 2018 citing Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman.

Det. Matt Odenthal filed the criminal complaint against Hunter before Magisterial District Judge Roth charging Hunter with Criminal Homicide.

Hunter will be extradited back to Lancaster County to face the charge. Court documents were unavailable as of 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.

Anyone with information on this investigation of the location of Hunter is asked to contact Det. Odenthal at 717-735-3352 odentham@lancasterpolice.com or Lancaster Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-1913.
